Carol Ann Ogden

Carol Ann Ogden, a beloved resident of Boonton, New Jersey, gracefully departed this life on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Elk River Nursing Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee. She was 80 years old. As per her wishes, Carol will be cremated, and no formal services are planned. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Carol Ann was the cherished daughter of the late William G. and Mary D. Wolf Lauman. She dedicated her life to caring for others, both as a registered nurse and during her later years in hospice care. Since 1985, she called New Jersey home and served as an EMT for the Boonton Kiwanis Rescue Squad. Carol’s passions were as diverse as her life experiences. She reveled in travel, with Yosemite National Park in California holding a special place in her heart. An artistic soul, she was an avid Artist and photographer. Her love for the outdoors, Broadway shows, and fine cuisine was infectious. She adored her canine companions and cherished time spent with family. In her youth, She loved to teach everyone to Cook her fabulous recipes, Carol honed her skills as an accomplished seamstress, crafting suits for her first husband and teaching her children the art of sewing. Her nurturing spirit extended to her role as a grandmother, where she showered love upon her grandchildren. Carol’s devotion to family was unwavering. She was a wonderful wife to three husbands: Gurden Gerald Stevens Sr., William F Collins , and Albert S. Ogden. Her kindness knew no bounds; she never uttered a harsh word about anyone. Carol drew inspiration from her mother-in-law, Mary Theresa Stevens (née Finn), whose life she admired and emulated. Her joyful disposition and willingness to help others endeared her to all who knew her. Carol’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and selflessness. She leaves behind three Children, Gurden Gerald (Denise) Stevens Jr., Melissa Ann (Harlan) Newman, and Michael Joseph (Mimi) Stevens. Additionally, she is survived by her loving stepdaughters, Gail (Wayne) McCullough and Sharon Ogden. Twelve grandchildren and one great-granddaughter carry her spirit forward. She also leaves behind her favorite Sister in Law, Peggy (Ron) Kohring and two Brothers, William Lauman and David Lauman. Carol’s memory will forever brighten the lives of those she touched.
